Network and game connection testing

Check protocol support before testing game proxies

Before evaluating a proxy for an overseas game or test client, confirm TCP, UDP and actual connectivity. Compare latency, jitter, packet loss and session behavior without assuming a proxy is a game accelerator.

Define the task before choosing an exit

Which transport protocols does the game need?

Games may use TCP, UDP or mixed connections. SOCKS5 support alone does not confirm UDP forwarding in the supplied resource.

Can the client use a proxy?

Check the game, launcher or network setup. Ordinary browser proxy settings may not cover game traffic.

Are test conditions comparable?

Keep the local network, server region and time window comparable. Record a direct-connection baseline, not just one latency number.

Choose proxies around your workflow

Use these suggestions as a starting point. Locations, protocols, sessions and limits depend on the plan. Validate with your target task before scaling.

Confirm the protocol before selecting a resource

03 / Integration steps

Game and network testing · Integration steps

  1. Share the game and protocol requirements

Tell support the client, operating system, server region and required protocols. Confirm the resource support scope.

  2. Test only after compatibility is confirmed

Confirm both resource and client connectivity. A reachable login page does not establish in-game connectivity.

  3. Compare direct and proxied connections

Compare latency, jitter, packet loss and sessions under similar conditions before deciding whether the resource fits.

Open integration docs

The documentation covers general integration. Confirm your client and protocol requirements before purchasing.

04 / Validate against your actual task

Validate against your actual task

Pass the protocol check first

Confirm that real game traffic follows a supported connection path. A browser exit-IP check is insufficient.

Observe sustained performance

Record latency distribution, jitter, packet loss and disconnects during comparable periods, rather than the lowest latency alone.

Decide based on evidence

A proxy does not guarantee lower latency or uninterrupted sessions. Do not keep purchasing the same resource type if the protocol or client is unsupported.

A proxy supplies a network exit. It does not determine account standing, platform approval or business outcomes. Follow the rules of the services you use.

05 / FAQ

Game and network testing · Questions about plans and integration

Do CueIP proxies necessarily support game UDP traffic?

Do not assume so. Confirm the selected resource supports the required UDP or other connections, and establish how the client connects before purchasing for gaming.

Is a proxy the same as a game accelerator?

No. A proxy supplies an exit. A game accelerator may also use specialized routes, protocols and connection optimization. Their capabilities should not be treated as interchangeable.

Will a closer location always be faster?

No. Routes, operators, congestion and the target server also affect results. Compare with a direct-connection baseline.

Does a successful sign-in prove the game will work?

No. Login and in-game communication may use different protocols and connections. Validate them separately.

Choose a proxy around your actual workload

Share your target locations, application and expected usage with support to confirm resources, limits and testing conditions. Registration does not automatically include a test allowance.
